Detroit Pistons vs Denver Nuggets Preview and Predictions -02-25-2020

Kết quả hình ảnh cho Detroit Pistons vs Denver Nuggets

The Detroit Pistons have continued to limp through the season, sitting well out of the playoff picture. The Pistons are coming into the contest after a tough loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets have remained among the best records in the Western Conference this season. The Nuggets are heading into the game following a double-digit win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Pistons have struggled to find consistency

It has been nothing short of a disappointing campaign for the Pistons as they have fallen well out of the mix for the playoffs. They have struggled in many regards in the 2019-20 campaign that has come largely due to inconsistency and injuries across the board. They have had plenty of issues flare up that have prevented them from even contending for the postseason any serious manner. That all began with Blake Griffin dealing with nagging knee issues that led to him requiring surgery that has labeled him out for the rest of the year.

Things have headed further south with the front office essentially signaling that the franchise is throwing in the white towel for this season as they have traded star big man Andre Drummond before the trade deadline to the Cleveland Cavaliers. That has left a gaping hole in their frontcourt that has struggled to pick up the slack outside of Christian Wood. Meanwhile, they have parted ways with two mainstays with buyouts with both Markieff Morris and Reggie Jackson over the last several days. That has put the rest of their roster in a big bind to pick up the slack with their departure. All of that makes it seem unlikely that Derrick Rose will be enough to carry the team to a win on the road on Tuesday night.

Nuggets continuing forward charge

The Nuggets have continued to build on their promising success over the last couple of years with them being near the mix to compete for an NBA title. Denver possesses a well-rounded team on both ends of the floor that has helped them stay in the picture as one of the top teams in the league. They have one of the deepest rosters that has a strong mixture of veteran and young talent that has continued to guide them in the right direction. That has seen big man Nikola Jokic head the charge as he’s been one of the most well-rounded players as his position as he’s been the driving force offensively for the team.

Jokic is currently leading the team with 20.9 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 6.9 assists while shooting 52.7 percent from the floor this season. The team has had some tremendous amount of success behind his production as he’s picked up the slack over the last two games as he has notched more than 20 points in each contest. He should be able to have a field day against the Pistons’ frontcourt that has struggled to play with any consistency and lacks depth Expect that push them forward on their home floor for a convincing performance on Tuesday night.
